- The Argentine DJ/producer will mix a new Master Series edition and launch a new digital label this month.
Argentine progressive house legend Hernan Cattaneo is next in line for Renaissance's Master Series.
The DJ/producer has prepared the latest in the mix series for the label, his first compilation in two years. Over the course of two discs, he includes 12 of his own originals, edits and remixes, taking the same sort of angle that Danny Howells did on his own recent mix for Renaissance. "You've got to distinguish a compilation in this digital age," Cattaneo says in the press release for the album. As it marks the 50th album in the Renaissance catalogue, we're expecting an epic one.
Cattaneo hasn't just been busy mixing it up in the studio, however. He recently also announced the arrival of his own digital imprint: Sudbeat. The label will "showcase sounds from established producers, untapped talent, South American innovators and Hernan himself" with forthcoming Danny Howells, Guy J, Henry Saiz & Marc Marzenit releases among the first to be announced.
