  • This Saturday, Berlin's Electrobot Records will host Elektro.Dada.Cabaret. From dress code (wear your garters) to cocktails (absinthe anyone?), they're going to party like it's 1929, a time when Berlin was known for theatrically indulgent parties… wait a minute… Held at Babylon, now celebrating its 80th anniversary, the evening begins at 20:00 in the theater with a screening of Fritz Lang's Metropolis, accompanied by Graf von Bothmer on piano. At 22:30, the party starts in the foyer with a variety of DJs: Wolfgang Flür (member of Kraftwerk from 1973-1987), Massimo Sex D'Electro, Hugo Capablanca, Drama Nui, M1SS1ON11 and Sympatique. Expect robotic disco and electro (maybe "Love Kills" by Freddie Mercury and Giorgio Moroder?) with retrofuturistic visuals, plus burlesque dancers and cigarette vendors to help set the mood.
