  • Heartbeat are set to launch a new weekly disco party in the capital, kicking off proceedings tonight with a set from Justin Robertson. What with disco's renaissance in the capital, now seems like the perfect time to unveil a new club night that capitalises on its popularity. And that's exactly what the Heartbeat crew are doing. But they're not just throwing the odd party here and there: Heartbeat will host their night at the Paradise pub in Kensal Green every single Friday night, and best of all, it won't cost you a penny to get in. For their opening party, they've drafted in Justin Robertson to play a rare disco set. Although he's more commonly associated with the tech house sound that he peddles nowadays, Robertson was once part of London's Balearic scene in the early '90s, and is thus well versed in the art of dusty crate digging. Also set to play later this month are Disco Bloodbath's Dan Beaumont (16th) and edit-wizard Serge Santiago (23rd), so if you're looking for a disco weekly with quality guests, Heartbeat may well just be your cup of tea.
