Sasha is probably one of the most innovate icons in the electronic dance music world. He is someone that we would see every end of the month religiously for their residency at Twilo New York alongside John Digweed for almost 2 years straight beginning back in 1999. Sasha & Digweed's residency there was probably one of the most talked about in America back then and even till today, and would draw massive crowds from all over the world. When this residency ended after Twilo was shut back in the early 00's, there was never anything like it ever again in New York. It was these 2 artists that influenced us over at Blk|market Membership to first to pick up our first set of turntables and vinyl records. We remember 'Northern Exposure' like it was just yesterday. It was probably one of the most influential mix CD's and it still stands the test of time. Sasha has kept himself ahead of the pack by proving that his is still king of the progressive house world since then, ontop of being a very in demand dj, he has remixed for artists such as Seal, Thom Yorke, Madonna, Depeche Mode, BT, The Chemical Brothers and much much more. His working relationship with John Digweed still continues strong. We are very pleased to have Sasha at such an event like this which has not been heard of in New York previously.

Three is a long time friend of Sasha and ours. Currently residing in New York City, Three has been tirelessly holding the flag for underground electronic music in the US since his rise out of the sunny state of Florida in the early 90's. In that time, he's emerged as one of America's brightest DJ talents and continues to be a true inspiration for many of us. Three has held residencies at NYC’s Twilo, Cielo (Robots) and Love, as well as Florida’s legendary Simon’s while playing lauded guest spots at San Francisco’s Wicked party, Fabric (UK), Panorama Bar (Berlin) and forward thinking events like Japan’s Labyrinth Festival and Australia’s Rainbow Serpent. Armed with a deadly sound that borrows equally from vintage acid-house, techno and underground electronica, his Hallucination Limited imprint is held in the highest regard. Three has come a long way, running one of the top record labels to come out of the United States. A vinyl only label that was very hard to find has recently been available on digital exclusively for the first time ever on Beatport. Not only have the original ep's been released digitally but a slew of new remixes & tracks of those tracks are on the way. A sample of artists to look out for include Terry Francis, Pier Bucci, Crazy Larry, Reverse Commuter (the new project of Ken Gibson aka [a]pendics.shuffle), Adultnapper & Mr C as Sycophant Slags, Butane, King Britt in his techno guise of Nova Dream Sequence, Seth Troxler and US dance legends Rabbit in the Moon. Hallucination Limited's annual Winter Music Conference event, the Snatch residency in Tampa Florida and his quarterly Hallucienda events in NYC have become favorites of DJ’s and clubber's the world over.

Put these 2 artists in one room for a Blk|market Membership party and you have magic. Steven Letigre opens up the night with what is sure to be nothing short of some excellent forward thinking music. Residents Taimur+Fahad complete the lineup as always.

Tue, 10 Nov 2009seems like people having very different opinion about the party, I actually enjoyed sasha's set (especially his last hour) considering I was mostly dissapointed with him as a dj for the last 4 years.

Mon, 09 Nov 2009I've gotta agree with Souldriver...Sasha bored me to death Friday night. Just no energy and seemed like he was just trying to get through the set. The disco ball was cool and the lasers too, but found it impossible to get my feet moving with the style he was spinning. Crowd was great, but I was definitely disappointed by the music...too bad cause always enjoyed him in the past.

Mon, 09 Nov 2009It my be just my taste, but Sasha really bored me this night. Lots of ups and down, but overall pretty boring set. Good production but too many flashing lights and lazers got really annoying after a while.
